Seven Months of Discipleship

Hey elliott! Recently we've been building up our church community and making in-roads with blessing the people around us.

Parables taught us how to live out God's Kingdom.

We spent our summer soaking in the words of Jesus. As we learned His ways, over and over again we saw the need to actually do what Jesus says. Rather than simply saying a prayer or accepting a set of beliefs, Jesus desires His people to obey Him!

Engaging our community

I (Elliott) joined with other local ministry leaders this morning to pray at Lake Forest City Hall, which is something I plan to do every month. We lifted up local schools, government officials, first responders, families, and churches. Let's continue to pray for the city that we meet in.

Blessing our school

This morning I also had the chance to drop off 100+ donuts at La Madera Elementary School to celebrate the staff and teachers on their first school day of the year. Let's continue to pray for ways we can live in the overlap of our calling and the school's needs.

Oct 10 is Love Our Schools Day!

While I was at La Madera this morning, I spoke with Principal Gass about a joint project with Love Lake Forest, happening on Saturday October 10. This an exciting opportunity for us to care for the place that hosts our church and show them that Jesus cares about them too. Let's be praying for this event and planning to be there as a church family!
